Dr. Kim was originally born in South Korea and immigrated to sunny San Diego with his family when he was a child. He finished his bachelor of science in biomedical engineering at UC Irvine and worked as a junior specialist researcher for a few years.
Through a dentist mentor who showed what it is like to really care for his patients, Dr. Kim decided to pursue dentistry at UCSF School of Dentistry. Upon finishing his dental education, he fell in love with the field of periodontology and has been providing the best care possible.
